Health Care Centre
The Health Centre has separate inpatient facility for male and female students. The health centre provides quality health care in a comfortable and confidential environment. The centre has 6 beds and adequately supplied medicine cabinet.
The health centre is manned by a medical officer and a healthcare assistant to provide excellent medical care to all the students, staff and faculty at no cost.
A fully functional health centre with a residential doctor is in place to offer medical care for minor ailments and first aid. In case of emergency, students will be taken to Hospital for treatment through standby ambulance service that is available 24/7.

Internet & Intranet
Our college has a dedicated internet lab working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We give free internet access to our students. We have 255 Mbps 1:1 dedicated leased line internet connectivity (155 Mbps from Airtel and 100 Mbps from BSNL). The internet can be accessed from more than 300 computers. We have started migrating from the proprietary software to Free and Open Source Software 7 years back and as a result, most of our computers are operated only on Open Source Technologies now.
We are using free and open source software in replacement of commercial software wherever possible. We have installed proprietary software in a very few labs just to explore the technologies to the students and faculty. All the departments and the HODs have internet connectivity. We have also provided a free 24×7 Wi-Fi facility in the entire campus (including hostels, cafeteria, seminar halls, auditorium) for the benefit of the students and faculty to avail internet connection from anywhere in the campus. The campus intranet has important details about Test Schedules, Time Tables, Examination Schedules, Campus News etc., and a wealth of information about the college.
Banking Facility
On-campus banking is available, on Tuesdays and Fridays, through the extension counter of State Bank of India Shankarnagar Branch. An ATM functions at the near of the college that not only caters to the needs of the students and staff but also the general public that reside in the adjoining areas.
Counseling center
The center was started with the vision of fostering holistic development of students by addressing their social, emotional and psychological needs apart from their regular academics.
The center provides professional, confidential, effective and accessible counseling in a friendly & non-threatening setting and acts as a resource for faculty & parents in managing behavioral & psychological issues pertaining to students.
Issues addressed are maladjustment, absenteeism, and low self-esteem, lack of study skills, Relationship problems, addictions, and parental issues of students. On an average 40-50 students are approaching the center with their concerns. Nearly 150 to 180 sessions are held every year.
The center is open from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm, Monday to Friday in 1st floor, SMSMPITR.
Reprographic Facilities
The College provides all standard reprographic facilities to it students and staff members. It has state of art equipment and infrastructure. This includes:
- CD/DVD writing facility.
- Photocopier service: Photocopying facility at very economical rates located at ground floor.
- Scanning service.
- Media Lab provides 5 HP DeskJet printers for printing documents for the students and staff members.
Gymnasium
A Well equipped Gymnasium managed by the college for the physical exercise of the students and staff which keeps them physically as well as mentally fit and enthusiastic throughout. It is equipped with the most sophisticated equipment. We have considered the importance of the healthy body and paid attention on this aspect.
ERP System
ERP solution specially developed for SMSMPITR. This advanced software has all the features incorporated which are needed to handle all the required activities.
Institute can manage activities like student attendance, fee, exam, library records and much more. ERP solution is designed in order to minimize the complexity faced by colleges to manage odd-even semester simultaneously. This is easy to install and ready to use college management system configured with all type of operating system and Mobile devices. With this reliable and secure solution the college can now achieve the goal of becoming a paperless organization.
Consumer’s co-operative store
The SMSMPITR Students Consumers Co-operative Stores caters to the needs right from stationery and cutlery items to cosmetics and uniform dress material. Educational aids like calculators and drafters are made available through an educational kit and loose as well. A student can rely on this store for his every requirement. The fresher’s especially feel relieved as they receive kits of bedding and educational aids.
